A Celebration of Harvest The 10th annual A Celebration of Harvest, one of Santa Barbara County's premier wine and food tastings, sponsored by the Santa Barbara County Vintners' Association. This sellout event features many award-winning wines from over 45 of the county's wineries and foods emphasizing locally-grown ingredients prepared by the areas finest chefs. Additional activities will include cooking demonstrations, barrel building demonstrations, and a silent auction including wonderful wine items to benefit a local charity organization. A portion of the ticket proceeds will benefit a local school. Tickets must be purchased in advance from the Vintners' Association. In conjunction with the Celebration, many wineries will hold open houses, special events and winemaker dinners throughout the weekend . A calendar of these events will be available from the Vintners' Association in early September. In addition to the Designated Driver program which is part of each event sponsored by the Vintners' Association, bus service will be available from Santa Barbara, Solvang, Buellton and Santa Maria for a nominal charge. 3rd Annual Harvest Wine Affair Held at the Hunter Ranch Golf Course in Paso Robles (West of Hwy 101 on Hwy 46 East). This year’s Harvest Wine Affair will be held October 20-22, 2000, and will feature a pro-am golf tournament, live and silent auction, elaborate gourmet dinner and live music and entertainment. Over 500 guests are expected to attend. Last year’s event benefited the San Luis Obispo County chapter of the American Heart Association, the San Luis Obispo Literacy Council, and HOTLINE of SLO County. The Paso Robles Vintners & Growers Foundation was established in 1997 as an affiliated benevolent organization of the Paso Robles Vintners & Growers Association (PRVGA). The Foundation’s purpose is to raise funds for charitable causes on behalf of the Paso Robles wine community.
